Rachel McLauchlan is the Influencing and Engagement Officer at Age Scotland and a key partner in the CONSOLIDATE NetworkPlus.
In her role at Age Scotland, Rachel supports the engagement of the Dementia Lived Experience Forum, enabling people living with dementia to influence the key issues that matter most to them. The Forum’s work is driven by the priorities identified by its members and seeks to ensure that lived experience meaningfully shapes policy, practice, and innovation across the dementia community.
Within CONSOLIDATE, Rachel works closely with the PPIE Specialist to support engagement workshops and the People’s Voice Forum, helping to ensure that the perspectives of people living with dementia and their carers are embedded throughout the programme.
Rachel is deeply passionate about empowering people to have their voices heard and to shape the world around them. She believes technology can be a powerful enabler, provided it is co-designed, person-led, and rooted in human-centred values.
